Dalmore Cemetery Lairholders Association SCIO is set up to manage all aspects of providing and maintaining a cemetery for the villages between Garynahine and Shawbost in the Isle of Lewis. All necessary arrangements are made for funerals, including grave digging and cooperation with undertakers and memorial stone providers. The environs are cared for, including grass cutting and pest control. From time to time, work days are organised to inspect the cemetery and carry out any work that is required. An annual lair fee is charged and each village has a collector who is a member of the Association. Burial records are maintained digitally.
