Introduction:
As trustees of The Economic Forum for Family Empowerment Scotland, we are pleased to present this trustee report for the period of May 2024 to April 2025. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of[Ireland][(FRS][102)] (effective | January 2019).
Objectives and activities
This report aims to provide an overview ofour activities, achievements, financial performance, and plans for the future. We extend our gratitude to our dedicated supporters, volunteers, staff, and beneficiaries for their valuable contributionsand continued support.
The association’s objects are:

The reliefof those in need through providing a means for families ofall ethnicities, with a particular focus on migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, to come together and engage in social and learning opportunities that will reduce social isolation, support with disadvantages experienced and develop better understanding of family’s rights, particularly around oppressive cultural practices including, but not limited to, refugees, asylum seekers and other relevant matters.

» The promotion of socialization amongst children, teenagers, young adults and families.

» Support for the elderly in any way practicable including home visits, home calls and zoom hangouts

Connecting people through a befriending outreach program for people (single parents, young, families and the elderly) who have experienced significant adversity, helping them build their confidence so that they can thrive.
Overview of[Activities:]
The charity remains dedicated to its mission of empowering families from diverse backgrounds through engaging social and educational opportunities. Over the past year, we have concentrated on four primary initiatives: the BAME Women Food Festival & Wellbeing Project, the BAME Community Foodbank on Wheels, Connecting Communities Through Shared Stories, and the Wishaw. Motherwell & Shotts Families Well-being Community Projects. These efforts are closely aligned with our strategic objectives and have madea significant impact on our target beneficiaries.

Achievements and Performance:
We are pleased to highlight several key accomplishments during this reporting period: Impact on Beneficiaries: Our projects have had a meaningful effect on our beneficiaries. Throughout the year, we successfully reached over 250 individuals who benefited from our initiatives. Partnerships and Collaborations: The charity has established valuable partnerships with organizations such as The National Lottery Community Heritage Fund Scotland, The Robertson Trust, Voluntary North Lanarkshire, Age Scotland, and Meeting Centres Scotland. These collaborations have greatly supported our projects, and we are actively seeking to engage with more local organizations to enhance our impact. Future Plans: Looking ahead, we are enthusiastic about the future and remain steadfast in our commitment to achieving our mission. Our key plans for the upcoming period include program expansion, fundraising and resource mobilization, and strengthening stakeholder engagement. We aim to involve more volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries in our efforts.

Financial Review
The economic forum for family empowerment total income of £105,518 (2024: £61,405) during the year which was categorized into grants, voluntary donations and other income. This represents an increase of 71.8% from the previous year’s income. After expenses were paid out, the charity recorded a surplus of £28,911 (2024: £9,348) Funds Funds held by the charity are classified as follows: Unrestricted Funds: These are funds that the trustees may use at their discretion to further the general objectives of the charity. They are not subject to any specific donor-imposed restrictions. Restricted Funds: These funds have been given for specific charitable purposes and must only be used in accordance with the restrictions set by the donor or funding body. Reserves Policy The charity’s policy is to maintain an appropriate level of reserves to ensure it can meet its anticipated expenditure for the following financial year. This helps to safeguard the continuity of the charity’s activities and to support effective financial planning. Structure, governance and management
Type of governing document The charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organization (SC 10) and was registered as charity by OSCR on 8th April 2020. The Charity is controlled by its governing document, a constitution and is an unincorporated association. Trustee Recruitment and Appointment
Trustees are elected at each annual general meeting, and should there be a vacancy, the board of trustees may appoint any member to bea trustee at any time. There may be a minimum of three trustees.

Independent Examiner’s Report on The Accounts My report to the trustees/members of The Economic Forum for Family Empowerment | Scotland on the accounts of the charity for the period May 01 2024 to April 30 2025 set out on pages 8 and 9 | Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (‘the 2005 Act’) and the Charities and Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). You are satisfied that your charity is not required by charity law to be audited and have chosen instead to have an independent examination.
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts as carried out under section 44 (1)(c) of the 2005 Act. In carrying out my examination | have followed the requirements of Regulation 1] of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). Basis Of Independent Examiner’s Statement
| have completed my examination. | confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended); or the accounts do not accord with those records; or the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Regulation 8 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

The financial statements of The Economic Forum for Family Empowerment Scotland have been prepared in accordance the Charities SORP (FRS 102) ‘Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective | January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic ofIreland (FRS 102), and the Charities Act 2011.
