SCIO Constitution.
_: ~~-~~ Objectives and activities Charitable purposes
The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objectives are to advance health by the rehabilitation of cancer patients. The area within which the organisation shall operate (in this constitution referred to as the ‘Area of Benefit’) shall be the United Kingdom. The organisation shall promote (but not promote exclusively) its activities and delivery operations to people within the ‘Area of Benefit’ who are diagnosed with cancer and with physiotherapy-based rehabilitation and specialised physical activity group programmes. These people will be the organisation’s beneficiaries. Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects The PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation U.K & Ireland raises funds to subsidise the cost of oncology rehabilitation and exercise programs to support this growing need.

APPENDIX 1
Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period
The first PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation was established in New Zealand in 2006 and has developed a cost-effective model of service delivery to support people affected by cancer nationwide. The U.K. Foundation will use a similar delivery model to ensure a cost effective and efficient service to benefit the maximum amount of people each year. In FY 2025 - the Foundation funded 11 Next Step programmes and 6 Targeted Programs. A healthy increase in funded classes.
-
e We introduced a new program in 2022, Our Pinc&Steel Targeted Class. The aim to break down barriers for more people to attend cancer rehab sessions. The classes are for smaller groups and can accommodate people on neo-adjuvant or adjuvant treatments that couldn’t tolerate Next Steps classes.
-
¢ This gives you the option to get funding for participants to run a class for a minimumof 4 and maximum of 6 participants.
-
e The classes must have a resistance component and a cardio component to be eligible for funding.
-
e The classes may be an easier progression for some patients from one-on-one sessions and enable you to connect patients with others facing cancer.
-
e The class will also suit clinics with less space.
THE PINC & STEEL Targeted Class & Next Steps Programs are specialised oncology exercise group courses (6 weeks and 10-weeks respectively) run to address the multiple health needs of people who are affected by cancer. These programs will run in many communities throughout the UK.
The classes are provided by experienced certified Pinc & Steel Cancer Rehab physiotherapists who will run the courses in each of their respective regions. People affected by cancer can have multiple complex health issues and need individual tailored exercises within the group class environment. The Oncology Physiotherapists delivering this service are highly trained to deal with this. Each Targeted Class and Next Steps class incorporates elements of yoga, Pilates and cardio training to improve strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. This program provides immediate and tangible change for people affected by cancer.
