| Introduction
DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN CANCER SUPPORT is a small Scottish Charity (SC049988), and operating in Glasgow. We seek fo support to children with sicknesses like cancer with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
Aims/Objectives
The Charity's objects are specifically restricted to the following:
To advance health by reaching to the grassroots of parents and educate them on the importance of early checkups for their children because some of the ethnic minority families are scared of the stigma being attached to sicknesses like cancer so we should create an outreach to visit some of the families, conduct one-on-one discussion to really explain to them in the language they will understand. To relive those in need by reason of ill health by proving to the affected children with support their parents could not afford such as equipment, warm clothing, toys, social outings and short holidays.
Activities
| The charity continues to provide services for sick children, women, men, the elderly, ethnic minority groups through visit { them and explain them and support them.
Statement of Responsibilities of Members
The committee members are responsible for the preparation of the accounts for each financial year, which gives a true and fair review of the state of affairs at the end of the year and of its results for that period. In preparing those accounts the members are required to;
- Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently, ¢ Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent e¢ StatePrepare whether the accounts applicable on the accounting standards going concern basis have been unless it followed is inappropriate to assume that the scheme will continue The committee members are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the project and which will enable them to comply with accounting procedures of The Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990 and The Charities Accounts (Scotland) regulations 1992. As a Scottish charity they must also comply with the applicable terms and provisions of the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Regulations 2006. They are responsible for safeguarding the assets ofthe organisation and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud or other irregularities. Basis of independent examiner's statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerming any such matters.
