INVERAWE COMMUNITY WOODLAND SC049985 ICW TrustÈès'. This last year. to dale of repor¢ has Seen the cOntinuat￿n of carrying out the work on the woodland as per our stated aimslpurposes previously declared to OSCR. Unfortunately, once again, a fair amount of damage was caused to parts of the woodland as a result of some lengthy spells of high winds and wet weather throughout tho winter period. Again during the drier parts of the spring of the 2024 year and the very early months of 2025 re-clearance of Pdllen timber from the woodlands main pathways had to be undertaken. Spetificalw, clearance of the main branches of a particularty large tree from a previously clea￿d track intended for use in easing the extraction of fallen timber for firewood sales had to be undertaken. The main tree trunk remain5 to be dealt with at a later date. Afurther amount of firewood ha5 been amassed from thls and, as intended, sale of some of this wood has taken pla￿ over the Winter and Spring. This has raised funds of £1090. This sort of work continues to be a re8ular annual event. Inspection of the woodland revealed no further wind blow damage to the woodland's NW section where a large Scots Pine and a large beech tree had previously been brought down. No further rhododendron ponticum was deared this year. However, some will be required on prevIouS￿ cleared areas where some fresh sprouts have been noted. As ever this dearance work is an ongoin8 task and will continue to involve many hour5 of work by volunteer members. As per our ori8inal alms, the drainage aspects of the woodland contlnue to be monlfored. Further annual debrls on some of our water courses hacl to be removed to unblock or redirect the waterto its intended course. The reconstructed bridge in the lower level of the woodland with its larger drain conduit continues to be a great succe55, but requires regular cleanin8 Out to prevent sm811 tree branch blockage5. Weather permitting it is hoped to improve some of our pathways in the coming year. NFU Mutual have again been employed to provide the ICW with Public and Product Lrdbility insurance cover. indudine cover for Employers. Liability and for Environmental Liability. A sum of £614.27 wa5 paid to NFU Mutual on 5 September 2024. On behalf of Icw Trustees 15" April 2Q25
