| would like to thank the Board of Trustees for their commitment to 3 Glens CC.
Recap - past years
3 Glens Community Care is now in its 4th year of operation.
In December 2020 we achieved our first and main aim of setting up additional care at home services to supplement NHS Care at Home services in our rural area. Our partnership with Highland Hospice to create Sunflower Home Care saw this become a reality. Many people have benefited from this.
Thanks to our very able Development Officer, appointed in January 2022, our Helping Hands Befriending Service has been in operation since February 2023. This is also supported by partnership with Highland Hospice.
This last year to the present | give a flavour of our work in the past year in her presentation. | will give a quick
summary: In September last year, together with Highland Hospice and Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston Community Company we won the Highland Third Sector Interface (HTSI) ‘Partnership of the Year’ Award 2023.
We carried out a community survey in November 2023 to establish what local older people most needed to help them in their advancing years. A Handyperson Service came top of the list.
We launched our Handyperson Service last month (April 2024) and it is already receiving regular requests for help. We will focus on promoting and operating this service for the next few months.
Our survey last November also identified that Community Transport was much needed. We haven’t forgotten this. We intend this to be next in our development. However we are aismall Board with one employee working only 2 days per week, so we must take one step at a time to ensure Success.

Our Development Officer, MM, is leaving us in June. She has worked hard to develop 3 Glens CC as a charity that is making a real difference in our local communities. She has achieved a lot in a relatively short time, and we will miss her. Recruitment and Interviews have taken place between March and May. We are very pleased to announce that we have been successful, and our new Development Officer & Services Coordinator will start shortly. She will work in tandem with Kaye for 2 to 3 weeks to gain some background and enable a smooth handover of services.
Funding 3 Glens CC relies on grant funding. The Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston Community Company and the Glengarry Trust have provided us with a 3-year grant package, which will take us to September 2026. This pays for: 3 Glens contribution to the running costs of Sunflower Home Care funding the employment of a Development Officer funding to run the Befriending Service funding for the set-up of the Handyperson Service and running costs of 3 Glens. We are sincerely grateful for their support.
GH secured a separate grant for the running costs of the Handyperson Service. This came from Foundation Scotland (who handle small grant applications for the Millennium Wind Farm fund).
Appreciation.

A big THANK YOU to the various businesses in our 3 communities who have our charity boxes on their shop and bar counters. And special thanks to members of our communities who fill them up! We collected £ 450 in 2023. | have emptied 2 of the boxes this year already. The Community Soup & Sandwich lunch for May raised £183 and 23 pence — an amazing amount. We have also received donations from volunteers marshalling at local stages of recent sporting events. Thank you 7. 6hté~‘—~S@Y who set up our website and generously continue to help with our tech issues. Thanks iii and the Community Company who have given us valued support in many ways. We also appreciate Ness News for giving us a news and publicity platform, along with local Facebook groups. PE from AGE SCOTLAND is also here today. Thanks for comingJ. A selection of CARE information booklets are available on the table. Many people have been involved in and have contributed to 3 Glens CC. All have played a valuable part in our development and achievements. Our thanks to everyone.ee
