We formed to improve the environment and facilities in our community. We organise activities and work parties to manage our forest and grazings in a sustainable way. We try to advance citizenship and community development by promoting civic responsibility for the communities natural habitat. We repair paths, walls, gates and bridges. We install bird nest boxes and plant trees and shrubs, in order to enhance biodiversity on our land. We work in cooperation with other charitable organisations. (I.e. RSPB, CNPA, Cairngorms Trust) We have an approved forest management plan and sustainably harvest trees for firewood for the village. Membership fees and donations are our main source of funding.
