## **2025 Overview**

## **Board and Management Updates**

The AGM was held in August 2025. All trustees were in attendance. Tara Livornese was elected as a new trustee..

The two representatives from Kinlochleven High School Lucas Livornese and Lisa MacCorquodale stood down at the end of the 2024/25 academic year. KHS has been approached to offer the role to new pupils for 2025/6.

Yvonne Rosie, Hamish MacPherson and Catriona Spence stood down from their positions as trustees in March/April 2025 after several years in office.

Throughout 2025 the trustees worked closely with the Voluntary Action Lochaber team to update the organisation’s policies, guidance for applicants, improve the application form / make it available online and amend the scoring matrix used when considering applications.

The KCBF website (www.kcbf.co.uk) was launched in Autumn 2025 which hosts the application form, guidance for applicants and membership/trustee application forms, as well as publishes dates for upcoming applications and minutes of all meetings. Google Drive is now used for all the Fund’s files and for storing applications, to make operations more streamlined and secure. The fund also now has email addresses for chair, treasurer and secretary and two laptops were purchased for the office bearers.

## **2025 Funding Rounds**

There were three funding rounds in 2025 (February, June and October). A total of 22 applications were received over the three rounds, of which 17 were approved, as detailed in the table below.

## **2025 Finance Overview**

The total awarded in 2025 was £60,427.54, well in excess of the amount received in grants from Green Highland Energy which in 2025 totalled £48,437.82. At the end of 2025, there was, however, still a large amount of funds available as shown in the financial overview below.

The rows highlighted in yellow are the operating and capital costs for the fund. Costs for the website hosting, domain name and email hosting will be reimbursed in 2026 but total less than £300 for 3 years subscription. This is therefore significantly lower than the £2,000 budget agreed at the 2024 AGM for the fund’s operating costs.

Note that a £15,000 grant awarded to Point Five in 2024 has not yet been paid as this is conditional on the lease for the former Ice Factor building being signed, which is expected to happen within the next 12 months.
