FORK is set up to raise awareness of the River Kelvin and it's biodiversity. We hold events, run litter picks, health and well being events and work in partnership with other groups to enhance and conserve the natural environment.

Objectives: 1. The advancement of environmental protection and improvements of the River Kelvin, its tributaries and immediate environs for the benefit of the public now and in the future. 2. The advancement of education, both formally and informally, in the history, geology, geography, biodiversity and other riparian features of the River Kelvin, its tributaries and immediate environs, namely the Kelvin Valley. 3. The advancement of citizenship or community development (including rural or urban regeneration) through projects and initiatives, in partnership where appropriate, that encourage stewardship of the length of the River Kelvin and its breadth of geographies, communities, etc. 4. The organisation and provision of recreational and leisure facilities and activities with the objects of: (i) improving the conditions of life for people of all abilities for which the facilities and activities are primarily intended (ii) to encourage correct use of the facilities and engagement in activities appropriate to the environment, and (iii) to benefit and further protect and improve the River Kelvin, its tributaries and immediate environs (as per 4.1).
