Trauma Informed Parenting exits to bring an awareness of the trauma informed approach, especially for families with children that have suffered trauma or are neurodivergent. They do this by offering fully funded online and in person workshops across Scotland and further, to parents and care giver how to apply this approach and offering on going support. TIP help the adults to change dysfunctional generational patterns of behavior by seeing the behavior through a lens of stress and fear. When he adults learn to work through their own trauma and choose to respond from a regulated state in these worst moments they can offer connection compassion and curiosity instead. Children feel seen and understood, co-regulation can occur. Behaviors reduce, children learn to repair and learn new healthy ways to express big hard emotions. Relationships and connection improve and children become more successful.

Objectives: The organisation's purposes are: (j) The advancement of human rights conflict resolution and reconciliation -to promote repair and connection in relationships and reduce the fight and flight response in previously reactive children. To teach parents to de-escalate potentially explosive interactions. (n)The relief of those in need-to support placements in crisis and prevent families breaking down. To support parents to better support children suffering from trauma. To build a safe and loving environment for traumatised children to learn to heal.
