All of the Charity's tsustees are appointed or r¢-appointed by the trnstees at the annual general
meeting each year.
Governing Document
The Royal Burgb of DLunfri¢s Tattoo is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation
(SCIO) and the purposes and administration arrang¢ments are set out in the constitution. The
SCIO was incorpordted on 22 January 2020. Th¢ charity was previously an unincorpoiat¢d
association bul changed its legal fonn to a SCIO. The assets of the unincoTporated
association were transferred to the SCIO on 22 January 2020.

The Charity's purposes are the advancement of the arts, heritage and cul￿re in Dumfries and
Galloway and in fi￿erance ther￿f:_
providing the opportLmity to perfonn with various acts.

Activities and Achievements
The charity's activities and achievements throughout the year were:.
Tattoo 2022 was a great success with an audience of nearly IOOO people
We had over 200 perfortners with 80 from the local region.
We held our first Ceilidh, a butld on the previous posi Tattoo event and was well
received
We gathered post event feedback from the audience to allow continuous
irnprovemenL this was the first time we could gather this via email and had a great
response.
We focused more attention on growing our committee with no success using social
medi4 local papers and word of mouth.
Future plv4n$
The Trnstees are in the pmcess of applying to OSCR to wind the charity up due to a lack of
volunteers.
Trustees, Remuneration and EJpenses
None of the trustees r￿1Ved r￿uneratIOn for their services or were reimbursed for any
expenditure during the year.
Reserves
For the year ended 31" January 2023, the charity made a deficit of £IO.I11 (2022: deficit
£896). At the year end, the Charily had unrestricted funds of £1,080.

I report on the unaudited accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 January 2023 sd out
on pages 4 to O.
Respective Responsibilities of the Trustee5 and the Examiner
The charity's trustees ar¢ responsible for the prq)ardtion of the accounts in accordance with
the tenns of The Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and The Charities
Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trjstees consider that the
audit requirement of R¢gulation l O(1 )(d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is
my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under Section 44(1)(¢) of the Act and
to state whether particular matters have corne to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner's Report
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation I l of the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presentd with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks
explanations from the trustees Concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do
not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audiL and consequ¢ntly I do not
expTess an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner's Statement
In the course of my exarnlnatio￿ no matt¢r has come to my attention:
