The Miracle Foundation SCIO is set up to improve people’s lives and relieve disadvantage. Our main work supports children and young people aged 4 to 19 affected by trauma across Lanarkshire and Glasgow We are also established to support disadvantaged or under-represented people in the UK., including those affected by age, disability, ill-health, financial hardship or unemployment. We deliver public benefit by providing free, trauma-informed counselling and creative therapies, including talking, art and play therapy. Support is delivered through one to one, parent/child, group and school based sessions. We work closely with families, schools, social work, health services and community organisations so that support is coordinated around each child. Our work improves emotional wellbeing, relationships and engagement in education, builds resilience and helps prevent difficulties from escalating into crisis.
