Firstly, I would like to thank all the 70 Volunteers who give up so much time runnkng
groups. allendingTrainings and Management Committee Meetings-without thi
massive voluntary contribution there would be no Association Programme.
Thank you also to everyone who attends groups and classes 8nd hopefullyget a
enjoyment, stimulation. fun and triendship from ihem.

2024 Is back to normal programme after COVID day5
Proqramme h•ld In the Communlty Centre: The regular programme continues with
around 20 groups allendingeach week. Most attend weekly except the Men's Shed
which meets 3 times a week. One change to the programme is the ending ot a
Needlecraft Group which has run by same tuiorfof 51 years. It has been replace

Knit & NatterGioup which is very active workingon several projects for chariti88. We
Teceived fundingto have 2 benches installed in Central PaTk-this has been a very
successful projeci beingwell used by all ages but particularly for older people wr•) can
onlyw81k lor short periods of time and enjoy a chat with others they meet. Most ol our
activities are for Older Adults but we have particularly successful Basketball groups for
children and adults. New windows installed in lower corridor have made such a
difference to the comfort in the rooms. We held taster sessions as part ot"Gramplan
Health & Wellbeing Month" in May and look part in a°Come & Network Day" in
Aberdeen to promote ourwork.
EncourAGE Outreach Work based in two Sheltered Houslng Unlts continues to be
well supported by a rota of 15 Oldervolunteers. Progiamme includes Seated Exer¢ise,
Music. Crafts and Outings in the Community Minibus. The 20 outings In 2024 were
especially popular goingto coast and country and havingthe obligatory'cuppa & fine
piece" for ten8nts and other older people who live nearby. All the aclivities contriblite
greatly Io p05ittve lifestyle. combatting loneliness and social isolation and parti¢ul?rly
for those with poor mobility. An inlormal-tr8ining session" for volunteers was held
which 81so included planning ahead for 2025.
Communlty Mlnlbus continues to be used by a variety of gfOUPS- 3 Older People'a
WalkingGroups. Outings. Friendship Group and both Primary & Secondary School*. We
are currently looking for a few more volunteer drivers.
