We are set up to provide a meeting place for men and women to socialise with each other, to reduce social isolation and help with mental and physical well being. to learn new skills and pass on old skills . Our facilities include areas to play games, such as pool and darts, to play music, and to use woodworking skills. Our ladies night is for local ladies to socialise with each other to reduce social isolation. as well as to learn/pass on arts and craft skills. We fundraise by holding open days, for ourselves and for other charities, eg, Macmillan Nurses and Prostate Cancer Scotland. We organise trips out for members. We work in our community eg helping local schools and residents. Up to date information can be found on our on our website.

Objectives: The objects of The Shed are to advance the health and well-being of its members by providing a safe and happy environment where men can, in the company of other men. a) be a workshop and social centre for members. b) pursue hobbies, pastimes and interests, c) learn new skills, practise and pass on old skills, d) promote their own and other men's health and well-being, e) by their efforts, benefit their families, their friends, The Shed and their community.
