Activities
'It carries out activities or services itself'
'the advancement of public participation in sport'
As per the charitable purposes above. We currently promote and participate in shinty under the auspices of the Camanachd Association by entering teams in the National League and also South Division Two. Unfortunately our ladies team is currently in abeyance, but we hope to get it going again. Club coaches are also involved in coaching at all levels in local schools and we try to run junior teams at primary, under 14 and under17 levels in local and national competitions. We run events in the clubhouse to raise funds and also have a weekly lottery draw> Sponsorship is also obtained from local businesses. We make our clubhouse available for hire to other local clubs and activities and also allow use of our minibus by other non profit organisations when appropriate. The two teams are well supported by local people who are able to enjoy watching a good level of sport without the cost of off island travel and it provides a good meeting place for them.
Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'
