Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of education','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement'

We have restored neglected land back to a meadow. Fruit trees including apple, pear, plum, cherry, red currant and other trees to improve the environment have been planted on our 5 acres of land. When the trees mature and produce enough fruit they will be offered to the residents of the village of Addiewell which is considered a deprived area. Flower seed has also been sown to stop long grass growing and to attract pollinators to our fruit trees. An all weather path has been put through our meadow and the footfall has increased considerably. This of course helps the residents physical and mental health. The local primary school Addiewell & St Thomas' use it for educational purposes. Students at Edinburgh college come to our volunteer day every year to learn about the environment and how to look after it using our tools and machinery.

Objectives: The organisation?s purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of education. 4.2 The advancement of environmental protection or improvement.
