The Downie Foundation is set up to financially support many varying organisations throughout the UK and beyond in their objective to spread the word of the Christian Gospel throughout the world. We carefully consider the mission statements and activities of many organisations who apply to us for support, and carefully select the ones we will support in any one year.

Objectives: 7 Purposes 7.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further its charitable purposes, and do so underpinned by Christian values, by operating as a 'grant giving' charity which will support financially and otherwise charities, community groups and others which charitably further their purposes detailed at 7.2 and provide public benefit with a focus on the support of organisations which are concerned with the promotion of Christianity whether in Scotland, the United Kingdom or beyond including in connection with church buildings, missions operating across the world and youth training connected to Christian ministry. 7.2 For the purposes of the 2005 Act the following charitable purpose is (i) particularly relevant and (ii) is the charitable purpose identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act:- 7.2.1 The advancement of religion. 7.3 For the purposes of the Taxes Acts and the provisions set out in clauses 7.1 to 7.2 shall be read together to ensure the purposes of the SCIO are compliant with the Taxes Acts.
