Structure, Governanee and Management
CoDJtitution
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorwrated Organisation (a SCIO). It wa5 registered in ivs
current legal fomi on the 17 July 2019. It has a two tier Structure and as such the trustees make up
only some of the members of the charity.
Recruitment and Appolntment of Trustees
Trustee recruitment and appointment - Currently board members Can approach those within the
local community of Stranraer and districL who have an interesi in the work of the Fed Up Café. We
would hope that others within the local community would be able ¢0 be approached to join our
board.

The prevention or relief of poverty and the advancement of citizenship or community development.
Actlvities
We recognise that there are many rwons for food poverty. but also that there are many who are
still, deprived or in p)verty. though they have enough f(KKI. So we aim to simply help those in our
community who ar¢ suffering mainly, but not exclusively. from fiK)d wTrv¢rty. We recognise that
there are many others in the community who may not lack finances to buy food, but have other
issues which make them vulnernble and nccdy. such as be￿￿VeMent, loneliness. bullyin& menthl
health issues and mobility Eyoblems to name but a fcw. The Fed Up Community Cafe aims to both
be a safe place where anyone can come for a cupw a chaL a snack or 4 meal. or even just a place to
have a quiet chat with a friendly face.

Aehievements and Performance
As we look back on another year. fm deeply grdteful for all the SUPPKYrt our ￿fe has received. This
past year truly demonstrates how strong our community is when we work together. and I want to
express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us alon8 the way.
Our hard_working staff and dedicated volunteers remain the heart of everything we do. Day in and
day out, they put so much care into making sure our cafe is a friendly, safe. and welcoming space
for everyone who walks through our doors. Their continuous dedication ensures our cafe stays a
warni anchor in our community-a place where people feel comfortable. valued. and cared for.
We are also immensely grateful to the individuals and organizations whose generous fjnancial
support keeps our doors open and allows us to deliver vitsl services to those who need them most.
To our wider I(￿al communtty.. tha[￿ you for continuing to welcome us with open arnis and for
making our cafe a true hub for connectin& sharing. and supwirting one another.
Our community larder has Continu￿ to achievc extraordinary milestones. Powerd by kind
donations and small larder contributions. we have now proudly distribu*d over 30,000 food and
hygiene items. This ongoing effort ensures that essential food and toiletries reach individuals and
families facing hardship while playing a significani role in reducing local food waste.
Building on that foundation. we have tt¢ently expanded our provisions by launching a dedicated
food bank service alongslde our community larder, offering complete, end-to-end food support for
our n¢ighix)urs.
Since fitst opening our doors, we have olTicially served over 100,000 hot rneals to members of our
Community navigating tough times. This figure i5 far more than a staiistic. it is a testament to the
tangible. posiiive impact we create every day-easing hunger and bringing comfort to those who
need it most.
Furthermore, our mobile meals service is now in full swing. Delivering healthy, hol meals directly
to the doorsteps of those who find it dI￿l¢U1t to leave home. this initiative has vitalized our ability to
reach isolafrd community members and ensu￿ no one goes without a nutritious meal.
Looking forward, our focus is on growing and improving our services to better mttt the evolving
needs of our area. Thank you again for standing with us. Your conttnued partnership makes this
work possible, and together, we are building a stronger. kinder. and more resilient community for
everyone.

Fillancial Review
The principle source of income is through suc¢e&sful funding applications and donations.
Th¢ surplus forthe year w&s £28.131 (PY- £4.115).
Ro¥erves Pollcy
The Fed Up Cafe received significant funding from outside agencies during this time period. This
meant that at the end of the financial year we had financial reserves to be able io uphold our resrves
)licy.
Plan$ for the Future
king ahead, we plan to keep building on the CO￿ services our community relies on every day.
We are focused on continuing and strengthening our exisiing work. especially making sure we get
the very best out of our ¢afe $0 it remains a warm, welcoming, and high-quality space for everyone.
Alongside the cafe. we will keep running and improving our Community lardcr, food bank. and
mobile meals service. We a150 remain fully Committed to helping people get back inio work.
whether that's by offering valuable volunteering roles to build skills and confidenee or providing
practical advice throu8h our employabilily hub. By making our Current services the best they can
possibly be, we can keep making a real. p)sitive difference in our community.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trnstees of the Fed Up Community Cafe SCIO
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2026 which are set out on pages 5 to
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's tru5t¢es are resp)nsible for the preparation of the accounts in ac¢ordance with the tems of
the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006.
The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{1) (d) of the Accounts
Regulations does not apply. It is my resp)nsibility to examtne the accounts as required under section
44(1) (c) of the Act and to slats whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner'y statement
An examination is catTied out in accordance with Regulation I l of the Charitie5 Accounts (S¢otland)
Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the eharity and a
mparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes considerntion of any unusual
items or disclosuies in ihe accounts. and seeks explanations from the trustees conceming any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit,
and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's stal¢ment
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any malerial respect the requirements:
to keep accounting records in a￿OrdanCe with Section 44 (1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of
the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with th¢ accounting records and ¢omply with Regulation 9 of the
2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or
to which. in my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
