The Fed Up Cafe was set up as a small charity to help alleviate problems with food poverty, social isolation, loneliness and mental health. We do this by offering free breakfasts and lunches and offer volunteering opportunities to train and gain experience and certification to help break the barriers to employment.
Objectives: The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of Wigtownshire (the 'Community'), with the following purposes (the 'Purposes'): The prevention or relief of poverty, and we will achieve this by. a) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. b) promoting and encouraging the training and education of people so that they may develop skills to help the aforementioned persons and c) encouraging such persons to involve themselves in all aspects of society and, in particular, in those decisions affecting themselves their families and their carers, through co-operation with the authorities and other agencies.
