The Vale of Atholl Pipers’ Association SCIO exists to advance education in the art of bagpipe playing and drumming, particularly for young people living, working and studying in the Vale of Atholl and surrounding areas. We preserve and promote Scotland’s pipe band traditions by providing tuition, training, mentoring and performance opportunities for pipers and drummers of all ages. We achieve our purposes through a structured tuition programme, regular practices, participation in local and major pipe band competitions, public performances, community events, Highland Nights and solo competitions. These activities help develop musical skills, confidence, teamwork and cultural awareness while ensuring that traditional pipe band music continues to thrive for future generations.
