Charitable Purpose Our purpose, as recorded in our constitution, is to provide facilities at an affordable cost or in some cases free, to all age groups within the local community so they can take part in recreational and social activities. To promote and aid the organisation of groups who could
-
provide sport and other activities which aid members of the community in health and fitness
-
or social activities which lead to improving the life of the community.
-
Year 2024-2025
-
The cares project has now been completed, and the further 20% funding was secured, energy efficiency measures have been installed and completed within the hall in May 2025. Over the coming months we will monitor the energy bills and establish where savings have been made. These measures will make the hall more sustainable and keep the hub in the
-
community.
-
The hub also secured funding from Falkirk Council to upgrade the disabled bathrooms and women’s bathrooms with the work being completed in May 2025.
-
Over the last year our long-term classes have thrived with high attendance levels. We have regular hall let’s from band practice (bi-weekly), Enjoyaball and over 55 coffee groups and have regular bookings for parties and meetings. The hall is also used by the local councillors and for electoral votes. The committee has been participating in weekly cooking groups, lunches on a budget, Mental health support groups, Family support groups and recovery sessions, these are well attended. Future funding will need to be secure in 2026 to continue many of these groups. The youth groups continue to thrive at full capacity and are credited
-
to the volunteers. Support for training and the recruitment of more volunteers should be sought in 2026. Overall, the community hub is an active social hub for the community with users of more than 500 a week. The hub has applied for funding to Asda Foundation to have the men’s bathrooms upgraded and new flooring throughout the building, outcome expected August 4025. Funding in late 2025/Early 2026 will need to be sourced for sports walls. Food provision We have reestablished a community fridge within the hub, pickups are from Aldi, Fairshare and Tesco. This is well used. Proposals for 2025-2026 The committee will continue to support the current lets and look for more classes and lets for all ages of the community, with a focus on advertising the space and repurposing the space. Applying for funding and generating income revenue for 2025-2026 is a priority. In the future year, we are looking to make further renovations to the hall and make improvements. With further training we will be looking at our structure and constitution to ensure We are running accurately, and support from CVS will continue to be sought. Partnership work Is something we aim to improve in 2026. Our Project worker and caretaker will continue until 2027. Reserves At year end May 9025 there is a balance of £16392.30 Approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf. 18th SeptemberPayment & Receipt Account information attached.
