Tlie Coiiviction of the Fouiidiiig Ti'ustccs of The John Paton Fouiidation is that God is building His Kingdom in
the world ioday tlirough the faithful, prayerful scattering of the ivord of God, as laiight by Jesiis iii his parablc of
the sower (Mark 4..1-20). Jc5us Ilierefore cominandcd his followers, "The harvest is plcntiful but the workers atE
few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, thereforc. to scnd out workers into his hai'V¢St ficld." (Matthew 9..37-38).
In Glasgow, and across the west of Scotland, there is a grcat need for a freth explosion of Biblically fdithful,
prayerlully dependent, missional, Chrisl-centred ministry. Fliil the 81grk reality is that one of the barriers to
meeting ihat iieed is a lack of available financial support, to train LIP and 5UPPOrt gospel workers, to resource
cliurch workers, and to pump-prime church planting initiativ¢s.
To this cxlent the aim of thc John Paton Foundation, woA<inb' primarily alongside St Silag church. is to fund and
SUPPOrt tliose training for ministry. working in ministry, and plgnting churches, for the salvation of many? to the
glury of Ihe iiame of Jesus Cl)rist.
