The organisation's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The organisations purposes are: To advance citizenship and community development by creating a community hub which will contribute to the development and sustainability of the local community infrastructure and aid participation, social inclusion and offer inter-generational opportunities as well as enhancing a sense of pride and identity and facilitating the rural regeneration of an economically deprived area. To provide recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. To promote rural, economic and social regeneration in an island community by encouraging and supporting public involvement in the planning and development process. To provide opportunities for skills training, volunteering opportunities and the creation of employment roles.
