**What the charity does:** It was set up bring new life opportunities to an economically declining town by encouraging people of all ages and abilities to engage in watersports, and in so doing enhance a sense of community and help develop life skills in young people. We are doing this by building a dedicated watersports hub and meeting place, employing qualified instructors who with the help of volunteers  provide tuition in a range of water sports and by providing the necessary equipment.

**Objectives:** 4. The Stranraer Water Sports Association main aims are:  o The advancement of public participation in sport  o The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
