**What the charity does:** The Highland Granite Development Pipe Band serves to enrich the cultural landscape of Aberdeenshire (Buchan, Formartine, and Garioch) by providing young people with accessible and high-quality piping and drumming instruction on a weekly basis, we offer readily available, affordable options for youth to learn and participate in this rich aspect of Scottish culture. Our organization tackles this need by and have achieved this through a number of local performances and supporting community initiatives.

**Objectives:** The organisations purposes are the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture and education by:  a) Promoting and encouraging the playing and enjoyment of pipe band music in the North of Scotland.  b) Providing a service to the wider community by making available pipers and drummers for suitable community and other events.  c) Striving for musical excellence, including using external expertise where appropriate, by exploring new methods and technologies and, subject to the agreement of members, participating in competitions.
