REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR
to 31st MARCH 2025
4. Governing document
The organisation is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated
Organisation (SCIO) and is registered as such with the Office
of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). The Constitution is
one that has been approved by OSCR and the organisation is
an incorporated body having charitable status under the
Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
5. Achievements, Performance and Financial Overview
Our Bank Balance in the year has improved from £11,214 at
the start of the year to £14,485 at the end of the year. The
improvement of £3,631 mainly due to fund raising (Kids
Discos, Singing Kettle, Ladies Evenings, Ceilidh) and welcome
donations from Mears Foundation, various raffles and other
donations.
Our Electricity and Gas contracts were renewed during the
year and this will result in additional cost pressures in the
next year. As a result of the fundraising/donations we have
bought 2 laptops, 2 hoovers, an intruder alarm,
painted/decorated the main Hall's walls.
6. Our plans for the next year will be to continue improvements
to the Hall from fundraising, grants and fully utilise the Mears
Foundation donation of £2,500- looking to replace foyer
carpet tiles and the 'back drop, curtain on the Stage.
Hopefully we can also attract new activities and users so as to
further benefit our local community.
