1.0 Introduction . Historic Hilton Trust (HHT) is a registered charity under the auspices of OSCR. This Annual Report is generated to satisfy our statutory requirement to OSCR the Scottish Charity Regulator. 2.0 Trustees . the following are the Trustees in the period:__ Chairman Deputy Chair Treasurer Secretary Trustee Trustee Trustee Trustee 3.0 Key Objectlves of Historlc Hllton Trust These are clearly set out in our Constitution Document but in summary are to promote all things heritage and historical relating to the Hilton of Cadboll Stone and Chapel Site. This site dates back to the late Pictish /early Christian period and boasts the best example of a carved cross slab standing stone. We work closely with Highland Council in the promotion of the Pictish Trail, also with other Heritage and Community Groups to promote our peninsula as a tourist destination. Working with and interacting with our local communities and schools is also a key objective, so we can all share and participate in the rich history and herita8e available in our locality.

4.0 Activities The main objective relating to this period was to achieve OSCR Charity Registration on 17 Apri119, and to establish ourselves as a working group of Trustees. Working with other local heritage and community groups to help promote our area ( ie Easter Ross Peninsula ) as a tourist destination, also with Highland Council on the rebranding of the Pictish Trail. We commenced work on a web site, also explored the incorporation of an augmented reality experience at the Hilton Stone and Chapel Site Contact was also made to Historic Environmental Scotland (HES) and discussions were held regardin8 the possibility of HES funding another geophysical survey at the Chapel site, the out turn agreement being that a geophysical survey would be carried out bv HES circa March 2020 followed by an exploratory dig in Sept 20. Our largest profile launch event was the staging of "Picts in the Park" on 21 Jun19, a community event comprising... Kids Pictish Fancy Dress, Tain Pipe Band , Programme of Music by schoolchildren, and local artists in the Marquee. BBQ, food and drinks refreshments were also available. This was a very popular and successful community event. Back end of this reporting period was impacted by the onset of the Covid Pandemic 5.0 Looking Ahead We intend to run Picts in the Park as a yearly community event We have had further discussion with HES and it appears there is still a budget and approval in principle to perform an updated geophysical survey, to be executed at a time to be agreed after the Covid Pandemic is past. This is very excitin8 for HHT and we and our community very much look forward to progressing post Covid. The base of the original Hilton Stone needs relocating to a new location within the village, this needs to be planned and approval

sought from NMS ( National Museum Scotland ) re the location, display, security etc. We are targeting to have the augmented reality experience at the Hilton Stone and Chapel Site up and running by the end of summer 2021. We will continue to work with Highland Council and all other local Heritage Groups to increase the visitor footfall to the Easter Ross Peninsula. 6.0 Sponsors: Local businesses have been very supportive of our efforts to make our launch event ie Picts in the Park a success, and we much appreciate the many contributions they made.. Special mention in this regard to our main sponsor Glenmorangie who have been very supportive to date of the endeavours of The Historic Hilton Trust, and we look forward to ongoing support in this respect.
