Activities In the year under revithv the Charty received funds of £13,255 from Donations and Trusts and remitted £15,514 to A YDAP Libena. Implementing Partner For some years A YDAP Liberia worked among young people in that country I in a number of secondary schools with a programme of drama. dance, musio and group discussion support using local Liberian volunteers and their own Liberian team with a theme of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (S.E.A) to encourage the sludents to learn important life skills and an increased awareness of the social and health issues resulting from such abuse. AYDAP Liberia has made adVand progress in the estsblishfflenl of a new school at Sand Beach Junction in River Cess County in Liberia which has been described by Childfen In Crisis as one of the m05t rernote, marginalise and excluded areas in that country.
Sc utsq%16 A YDAP Liberia has been well recognised effectively as partners by both UNICEF and UNDP in Liberia. Financial Policy All available funds raised in Ihe UK are remttted to A YDAP Liberia in tranchek agreed in an annual Budget to support the activities described above. This Charity does not have any Restricted Funds. The statement of accounts is prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordan with the requirements of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and shows a closing Balan on hand of £2,055 which wil be remitted to AYDAP Liberia in April or May 2024. Donated Services The Executive Committee contribute fundraising. administration, and accounting expertise in iunning the Chaiity in Glasgow. Scotland on a wholly unpaid voluntary basis. The Committee are in continual contact with the team at A YDAP Liberia.. Donations The Charity has been supported throughout the year by private donations totalling £526, which qualified for Giftaid Tax which will be recovered shortly. All these donations have been acknowledged with thanks. Grants The Committee are pleased to report thal income from Charitable Trusts in Scotland has been maintained and the Trustees are delighted at this excellent and welcome support. Executive Committee The Trustees as named in this Report make up the Executive committ and we are pleased to welcome occasional ad hoc assistan from interested voluntary parties from time to time. The need in Liberia is more or less open ended in nature and exlent among young people and we are moved and grateful for the response to our appeal$ for help in providing realistic benefit to the young people in that country. Independent Examiners Report on the accounts AYDAP Scotland Registered Charity Number SC 049226 Year ended 31 March 2025 Trustees and Examiners Responsibilities The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terrns of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlan 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charlty trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations dS not apply It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Examiner's Ststement My examination is carried out In accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of th accounts presented with those records.
