OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Charitable Purposes

The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended

This charity has been established to replace Skeld & District Village Hall SC014497. Skeld & District Village Hall SC014497 intends to wind up and pass its assets and liabilities to Skeld & District Community Hall SCIO SC049219

Activities and Performance

Work has been progressed on the steps needed to wind up the Skeld & District Village Hall (the old charity) and for the transfer of assets to Skeld & District Community Hall SCIO (the SCIO). This work has been undertaken with the help and support of Voluntary Action Shetland (VAS).

Whilst the work has been ongoing, all the events at the hall have been undertaken under the auspices of the old charity, therefore the SCIO has not traded up to the end of this financial year.

Trustee Remuneration and Expenses

The trustees did not receive any remuneration or expense payments during the year.

Financial Review, Reserves Policy and Plans for the Future

At present the SCIO has no assets and no financial reserves.

An Annual General Meeting was held on 2[nd] March 2025 and the Trustees shown above were duly elected for another year.

The board of trustees are continuing with the necessary work to facilitate the transition from the old charity to the SCIO and the treasurer has commenced the process of opening a bank account for the SCIO with Virgin Money.

It is the aim of the Trustees to complete the transition from the old charity to the SCIO during the next financial year (May 2025 – April 2026)

Approved by the Board of Trustees and signed on their behalf
