TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT Forthe Year Ended 28 Februory 2025 Achlevements & Perfornian Th15 was another successful year for Colmonell Communlty Assoclatlon wlth £77,106 recelved in grant app5icatiOns by the Assoclatlon ovor the course of the year, and several new events taking place. The following activities have been delivered by Colmonell Cornrnunity Association in 2024-25: Re8ular hall lets continued in the hall, with weekly lets including Souper Mondays. Club Diamonds, Pickleball, Pilates, Stinchar Valley Choir, Graceful Years, Circuits - two classes per wèak, Table Tennis, Toddlers, Qul Gcng and Badminton. Other regular lets included Colmonell & Lendalfoot Community Council, and Colmonell Communlty Association. We Increased the number of hall lets at the comrnunity centre, bringing Pickleball, Qul Gong and Badminton to the Communlty Centre, as well as a community book library in the buffet room. Cosy space lunch r8turn8d in the form of Souper Monday5, and we liaised with South Ayrshire Council to investigate whether a Youth Club could return to the village, wlth paid staff from the Council. At the time of writing it had not been ¢onflrmed whether advèrtising for the posts had been successful. Fundralslng ¢ontlnu&d throu8h our popular weekly lotterv, A new printer, 80 pro camera and lockable cabi net for digital equipment was purchas8d for the hall. Also, a new fridge freezer purchased for the hall kitchen, and skirting board replaced in the kitchen. New noticeboard outslde hall was replaced, arranged by Community Council. One village newsletter was produced, Injuly 2024, The skip was delivered to the village 3 times in 2024-25, however we have had not yet had confirmation from South Ayrshire Council if thls wlll stlll be offered this year, due to Councll cutbacks. Colmonell Communlty Toilets are greatly appreciated by the local community and visitors to the village. We received funding from The Natlonal Lottery Awards for All for rna1ntenan￿ and new flooring in the toilets, which allowed us to flx a leak at the urinals, nd sort Issues whlch were resulting in condensation, a5 well a5 layin8 a new resin-based flooring. Our thanks 80 to our cleaners who have kept the toilets in very good OFder over the past year. We have been successful In receiving funding to continue to fund the ¢18anlng of the toiléts for another 3 years, The toilets will be freshly painted for summer 2025. The community garden, flower boxes and han8in8 baskets continues to blossom and grow thanks to the wod( of our dedlcated volunteers. An appllcatlon has goné in for fundlng for new flowers for the garden and planters. The gazebo roof. which had felt tiles missing, wa5 repaired. A Spring Birdson8 recording workshop was held in April 2024. A Shanla tribute/Country fundraisin8 night was held in April 2024. A concert with Creeto d was hald on a beautiful day in Klrkhill Gardens, by kind permi55ion of the We received 3 years funding for our annual fun week, children's parties and senior citizens Christmas lunch. New signs were ordered for the Fun Day. The Fun Week was very popular with the usual activities,. football tournament, quiz, a petting zoo, bingo nlght and this year for the first time we arftnged evenlng entertainment in the marquee on the park after the Fun Day. The Fun Day held out with some lovely wèather and included the usual stalls inflatables, Maybole Pipe Band, Highland dancer5, Little Peru Alpacas and a visit from Colmonell Fire Brigade. The Fun Day princess wascrowned on the park.

We received funding for the purchase of a containér which has now been acqulred and sited behind the village hall after receiving planning permission. This will allow for storage of our Chrlstmas lights, marquee and other large items. The annual village scarecrow Competition was or¥anised In September, wfch help from number of volunteers and an afternoon tea with activities for children took place. We applied for fundlng for a pilot community bu5 5ervire on behalf of the Stinchar Valley Communlty Transport steering group, wlth represéntatives from vlllages across the Stinchar Valley. The application was successful and a bu5 Service now operates on 6 days per week around the villages of Plnmore, Plnwherryi Barrhill, Colmonell, Ballantrae and Lendalfoot, Ilnking these villages wlth GiNan In late afternoon and evenings, and offering mominE seNice to Ballantrae on 2 days per week. The community bus service Is also available on Sundays, when there are no other bus services operati ng. Further fundin8 has Iso been recelved on behalf of the steering group from the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing fund for a Development Officer to help grow the servi¢e, support the group to set up wlth a constltutlon and bank account, and attort further fundlng. We received Partlclpatory Budgeting funding for 3 coach trlp5, one of which took place to Edinburgh Chrlstmas markets, wlth the other 2 trlps scheduled to take place in 2025. The bus trlps are open to partlclpants from acr055 the villages in thé Stinehar Valley. CCA Trustees attended a workshop session with Voluntary Action South Ayrshlre on thelr trustee responsibilities and governance. We organlstd for a mobile caterin8 van to vlslt the v115age, allowlng them to power up uslng electric at the vlllage gazebo. We organised the children's Halloween and Christmas parties. wlth h8lp from the Head Teacher at Colrnonell Primary S¢hool. An Elvis tributé nlght was arran8ed with the Boars Head Hotel. A travelling pantomime by MJM Producticns was organised for the vlllage hall whlch both the school and community attended. Colmonell was once again lit up spectacularly In Decernber by colourful Chrlstmas lights around the vlllage. Huge thanks to all volunteer5 Involved in putting these up and takin8 them down again. We enjoyed a wonderful Chrlstmas Fayre and Santa's Grotto before the lights were switched on by Santa and hel￿rs, followed by a torchlight proc8sslon around the village. Santa's sleigh guided the way and he also paid a vislt to the primary school before Christmas, The slelgh was also used by neighbeuring villages Pinwherry & Pinmore, Barr and Ballantrae. The senlor citizen'5 meal took place the village hall in Oecember, and was catered for by the Café Royale. There was a great turn out, and people were entertained by local musicians. A new village waSking group has been set up and takes place on Mondays. CCA are recelving free support from Comrnunity Enterprise Accelerate programme to write a business plan for thé organisation. During 2024-25, we welcomed ￿ to the committee. We are grateful to the many individuals who help with the event5 and activities we run throughout the year. Later tepped down from the committee due to workcommitments.

We would like to thank the committee for all their hard work over the past year, and our hall keeper for looking after the hall. We would also like to thank Individuals hr donations received over the year and Bardrochat Estate for the donation of the Christmas tree. We are Still in di5CU55i0n with South Ayrshire Council about the Licence to Occupy agreement for the Community Centre. It Is hoped that we can come to agreement soon. We have had many challenges with hall cover this year, when our usual hallkeeper is ill or on holiday or we have weekend hall lets, rt can often be difficult to get cover. Our Commlttee are unable to open the hall for lets ourselves withoLrt keys, which will not be given to us until the Licence to Occupy agreement is signed. The hall was also closed for a tSrne due to storm damage while we were waiting on roof tiles being repaired. This has impacted on our regular weekly lets, affecting over 100 individuals each weel who had to Source alternative accommodation or were unable to meet while the hall has been closed. Desplte the frustratlons, a fantastlc amount has been achleved once agaln by our volunteers thls year, and thi5 15 appreciated by all of the commlttee, as well as the wlder community In the village.
