Trustees ackncyw￿e that this Foundab'on vwes its e￿stenCe to the generosity of phlanthropist Cclin Weir. He wanted
lo eslablish a Charity Ihat allthved him to reach peoFqe and communrtK?s directly, whether charitable entities or
community groups, that were stTU931ing to raise monies frwn other Sour￿5. Cclin was very proud when The Colin Weir
Charitable Foundation came in lo being and Trust*s are grateful that Colin got to see the Foundation make its fi￿t
ards before, sadfy, he Sudden￿ in December 2019. T1￿Y will ensure his vision for the work of the Foundatson
contOnu•s to be T￿lIsed golng forward and that his and n8rn0 will live on.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVTfES

The Charity's objects are eSta￿Shed in its Trust Deed. and these arè"

physical exertion).

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

In thi5 reporting period, the Charity awarded grants to 23 institutions worth a lot4 of £501,500. No grants were made to

Flnancial position
The financial statements show that the Charivs gr05s inc￿￿. eX￿￿JIrv￿ funds realised fr(xn the End0￿ent fvnd,
amounted lo £25,286 which 15 deposit intere5112024 £23,207). Th8 Charity invested funds in a fixed leTh high interest
account during the year. Gross expenditu￿ in the Unrestricted fund amounted lo £43,392 (2024: £43,894). In current
year £43,392 was transferred from the Endv*Anent fund to assist wrth adminisirative a￿1 w￿lanCe cost&

foundation's obj'ectives.
Trustees wish to confirm that. in line with the FourKlatrJn's oryinal timesc*, the charty will wiThJ up in 2026 as planned

the Foundation's administrator seeks out suitabl8 8nlitie5 across Scotland to become beneficiaryas, benchmark￿1
against CWCF'S criteria and purpose. She then conducts desktcp research to V￿rfY that the potential beneficiary is who
they say they are and Ihat they do what t￿Y say t￿Y ¢Jo. This will incI￿￿e a conversation with the chartty or organisation
as well as online searches and looking at OSCR re￿d$ rf appropriate.
If satisfied, a caseforfundiNJ is presented to Trustees by the administrator, along with a recommendation for an amount.
