Constructively worked with policy makers to improve awareness of
ticks and Lyme disease by:
Holding a successful Lyme Disease Awareness Event at the Scottish
Parliament. Holyrood in May 2024 for Ministers, MSPS and invited guests.
Influenced Scottish Govemment (SG) policy through contributing
resources and ideas through the SG subgroups on Outdoor
Awareness & Health Professional Education. This included a repeal
poster campaign on ticks displayed in all 1250 Scottish phannacies
Provided education for healthcare professionals on tick-borne
disease to promote earlier recognition, diagnosis and appropriate
treatment for Lyme disease:
Worked on and sponsored revision of the RCGP Toolkrt for Lyme
disease - providing easily accessible info for all GPS Ihealthcare
professionals, also available to the public
Delivered education sessions at UK healthcare conferences,
including Guidelines Live, The Pharmacy Show, Best Practice
NEC, and First Aid Trainers where over 6000 delegates attended.
LRC also hosted info stands, encouraging conversations with
clinicians.
Delivered a webinar for UK pha￿naCists hosted by The Royal
Pharmaceutical Society
Established effective partnerships with a number of key
organisations resulting in increased awareness of ticks and tick borne
illness and wider uptske of outdoor signage across Scotland. Formal
partnerships with the following organisations were initiated or developed:

MRC viruses unit at University of Glasgow

Continued Strategic Planning Processes to focus on essential

and other charitable activities.

th the temis of the Charities and Truslee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act and the
Charities Accounts {Scollandl RegLJlations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts
