**Purposes:** &#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of environmental protection or improvement&#x27;

**What the charity does:** Our charity builds and maintains paths in and around Torphins.  It encourages people to get out walking and cycling to keep fit and enjoy the countryside.  At Christmas the Paths Group lights up and decorates a section of woodland paths for all to enjoy.

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation&#x27;s purposes are: 4.1 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. by maintaining existing path routes and networks and by developing new and existing paths in liaison with landowners and tenants. 4.2 the advancement of environmental protection or improvement. by advancing the education of the public regarding environmental issues through descriptive path and walk publications, and child focused publications such as Pathfinder Challenges for the development of childrens&#x27; knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the local environment and wildlife.
