**GOLGOTA MISSSION SCIO SC049073 TRUSTEES REPORT 2024/25** ## **Trustees serving during 2024/25** ## **Why was your charity set up?** Our church in Edinburgh has a long-standing relationship with the Golgota Bible School in Talmaciu and many members have volunteered in camps, medical missions and bible teaching. In 2019, we recognised that the resource needs of the Mission were greater than the few supporters could afford, and potential donors needed the credibility and safeguards of a registered charity. Additionally, access to Gift Aid allowed local costs of running the charity to be defrayed. ## **Who does your charity help?** The Bible college and mission is run by a skeleton staff and a number of volunteers. Our SCIO supports the running costs of the mission as well as the numerous outreaches to deprived communities including Roma villages. ## **What was done? (outputs)** In 2024, camps were attended by over 2000 children and families. Hundreds of students attended training courses. Many villages were visited leading to medical care being offered to hundreds of needy people. ## **What was achieved? (outcomes)** Church leaders were encouraged, trained, equipped and sent back to their local churches. Needy people gained health advice, pain relief, spectacles and the use of medical equipment to enhance their lives. Hundreds of children and their families received a holiday in the mountains which would otherwise have been unaffordable. ## **What difference was made? (impact)** Churches encouraged and equipped Healthier lives Holidays for those who could otherwise not access one.
