**What the charity does:** C.O.G.S. The group are a grassroots led organisation that are developing a Community Garden based in Shortlees, Kilmarnock. Background ? C.O.G.S was initially formed by Shortlees residents in 2013 with a vision of gaining a derelict piece of land and creating a community garden. Funds were obtained to create a community led feasibility study. ? Our group is open to all, and have volunteers and beneficiaries from Kilmarnock and East Ayrshire wide. We work closely with partnership organisations with our project focus on developing our own community garden. We provide a range of activities from learning to grow our own veg, to woodwork and craft activities.

**Objectives:** 1 The organisation&#x27;s purposes are: 1.1 The advancement of citizenship or community development (including rural and urban regeneration). 1.2 The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended.
