**What the charity does:** The Trust was set up after the death of a local landowner. The land and the estate were set up as a Charity to support local, environmental and conservationist activities. The Trust provides grants in line with its constitution and is also setting up a studio where people can stay to compete activities which align with the.Trust

**Objectives:** The SCIO will promote, advance and further its charitable purposes by:-   maintaining the land at Shannel and Tillenteach, Aboyne as a traditional and accessible farm and nature reserve in order to conserve and support the wildlife in the area and safeguard the natural resources and environment (across the entire flora, fauna, insect life, biodiversity and beyond).   supporting and funding research and educational activities into wildlife in the area and in doing so involve local groups, schools and charities with a view to that research and those educational activities seeking to promote the conservation, appreciation and protection of wildlife and safeguard the natural history, resources and environment. and.  displaying and making space for art, local heritage and conservation and environmental activities.    Providing that there are sufficient funds available in the Trust’s portfolio, the Trustees may decide to make donations to local charities whose purposes align with the environmental, conservation or artistic charitable purposes of the Trust.
