Structure, governance and management Type of governing document The Charity is controlled by its constitution and constitutes an unincorporated charity. Trustee recruitment and appointment Recruitment and appointment of new Trustees. New Trustees are nominated and seconded by existing Trustees and their nomination is considered for approval at the Annual General Meeting. The Trustees do not receive any remuneration or expenses in carrying out the business of the charity. There were no related party transactions in this year.

Objectives and activities

Charitable purposes To alleviate the suffering and distress of animals, in particular horses, in need of care and protection through the provision of shelter, temporary or permanent care to animals with a view to rehabilitation and where possible re-homing. To advance the education of the public in the proper care and attention of animals through advice and training To relieve sickness, suffering and distress to those in need but not exclusively amongst those who are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder through providing equine or other animal assisted therapy. Summary of the main activities To carry out these objectives the Charity shall raise funds by whatever in relation to these objects means are appropriate such as appeal to the wider community and allocated funds as it sees fit.
