**What the charity does:** TAP was set up in response to interest and concern expressed by individuals and environmental groups across Arran, through social media and a public meeting, to the problem of plastic in the sea. The steering group was formed to lead on island- wide initiatives and provide a co-ordinated approach to avoid duplication of effort and share information.

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;No specific group, or for the benefit of the community&#x27;

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation&#x27;s purposes are: 4.1 to encourage the considered and educated use, reduction and disposal of plastic by Arran residents and visitors. 4.2 The company&#x27;s purposes are restricted to those set out in clause 4 and solely in furtherance of the charitable purpose in clause 6 (all subject to article 7). 5 The public benefits of the purposes are. 5.1 to minimise the amount of waste plastic litter on land and in the sea, 5.2 and to minimise the proportion of waste plastic being disposed of in landfill. 6 The organisation&#x27;s charitable purpose is: 6.1 the advancement of environmental protection or improvement (Charitable Purpose &#x27;m~ 7 The organisation may (subject to first obtaining the consent of OSCR) add to, remove or alter the statement of the organisation&#x27;s objects in article 4.
