We provide funds to a number of pensioners who are known to be in poverty or at risk of being in poverty. We also provide funds to local Social Service Departments who work with those in need so that they can react quickly to need
Objectives: The organisations purposes are: 4.1 The prevention or relief of poverty. 4.2 The advancement of education The SCIO will achieve this by affording aid to persons resident on, or belonging to Bute, principally such as are of advanced age. If found expedient the SCIO will also make small grants for educational purposes.
