**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of education&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;

**What the charity does:** To promote the care and education of children attending Sciennes Primary School in need of care  during out of school hours and school holidays: and  to promote the provision of facilities for the recreation and other leisure time occupation of such children in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life.    These priorities will be achieved by:   * employing staff who have the necessary, appropriate and relevant qualifications and experience.  * acting as a best practice employer in the management and training of staff.  * offering a wide range of activities for children to participate in, both indoors and outdoors.   * encouraging children attending the scheme to choose a wide variety of activities appropriate to their  age and development needs.  * enuring that parents and guardians are involved in the management of the scheme

**Objectives:** 3. The purposes of the SCIO are:- (i) the advancement of education and the provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities by providing necessary facilities for the daily care, recreation and education of children attending or local to Sciennes School out of school hours, in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving those children?s conditions of life. and (ii) to promote similar charitable purposes, objects or institutions in such proportions and manner as the Trustees think fit.
