'the advancement of education','the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science'

We produce a monthly community newspaper covering 11 communities in a scattered remote part of the NW Highlands, including four islands and one only accessible by water, promoting community involvement. We are a mouth piece for clubs, community organisations and individuals. We encourage and showcase opportunities for our community to develop their skills and access local art and culture.

Objectives: 4.1 The advancement of education by informative articles on the area, and publicising and promoting talks, lectures and workshops held in the area. To help our contributors develop creative writing and reporting skills 4.2 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science by including regular articles on the natural history and history of the area (including genealogy) and publicising talks, lectures and workshops in the area. 4.3 The advancement of citizenship or community development within the North West Lochaber area through the publication of local reports, including sports and schools, news articles and other forms of information, and by advertising and supporting local businesses. To serve as a mouthpiece for clubs, community organisations and individuals. To bring together as a cohesive and connected community the very scattered area we cover - which includes four islands and a remote area only accessible by boat.
