Ob'ectives and Activities The SCIO wlll operate as a charltable organlsatlon for the beneflt of the Dundonald and surrounding are communities. Its Charitable Purposes are: 3.1 Tho advancement of public partlcipation In sport and otho leisure activities for the community as a whole 3.2 Th8 provislon of safe recreatlonal facllitl88 and the organlsatlon of such activities to help support and integrate communities in the area and beyond 3.3 The advancement of citizenshlp and communlty development through promotion of volunteers and civic prlde in the communlty 3.4 The advancement of the arts and heritage culture through the promotlon of Dundonald's hlstory, Includlng festivals and local community events 3.5 The progres3 of environmentsl protection and improvement through the sustsinable management of green space around Dundonald, and to help reduce pollution through promotion of active travel
Structure Governance and Mana ement Our governlng document Is based on a wrltten consthution The constitution was drawn up based on a worklng mode; that has been successful in admlnlstering a slmilar organlsatlon to our own We propose to have annual audlts of our constitution to see If any changes can be made to reflect new best practlces and modern metlwds Our Constitutton was upgraded/amended In 2023 Trustee recruitment and a ointment We have had 4 Trustees thls past year. all of whom have declared a wlsh to continue to asslst the Assoclation through these dlfficult economlc tlmes. and ultimately to help our communlty The Trustees to date have been chosen on the basis that thelr oiganisations sl8ned up as members of DCSRHA. in the hope that they could access our structure to fvrther develop their respective groups to help with fundlng and the growth of the Associations they represent We are currently on the searth to recrult additional Trustees from the local communlty groups. and having spoken to a number of potential Trustees. we are very hopeful that we will enrol some additions in the near future DCSRHA
Achievement and Performance This has been a somewhat trylng perlod for DCSRHA, as is the case wlth all bodles of our type. but we have continued to do our best to assist local organisations and Individuals where possible It has become increasingly difficult for all charltable organisations to raise the funds that would have been hoped and planned for. and to that end DCSRHA have found it difficult to assist as much as we would have liked, nevertheless we have been able to agaln help the local Angllng Club with funds to enhance their efforts at Collenan Reservolr and provide. even further, the enjoyment of fishing In a pleasant environment. whllst at the same time adding upgraded pumps to ensure the reservolr levels are sultable for fishlng for as much of the year as Is humanly posslble. We are also stlll worklng on the Dundonald Fleld project. whlch Is all but done. however the local authority are taklng too much time, In our oplnlon. to finallse one or two small detalls to allow resldents the use of the refurblshed playlng field. Financial Review Thls past year we have agaln found fundralslng dlfficult as mentloned prevlously* and as such our income. and therefore our expendlture has been minimal. As will be seen later In thls report, we hope to work dosely wlth the Local Authorfty and some extemal fvndlng agencies to ralse some £150.000 In the hope of provldlng new changing faclllties for the local sports field and groups who wlsh to use such facilities. albeit our local authority are dragging their feet on thls polnt. Future Plans As soon as our Local Authority get their act together. the refurbished Dundonald field wlll most likety be predominantly used by the local Amateur Football Team as their home ground, and this will of course not be for their exclusive use. as other organi&*ions such as the local school will be encouraged to use the faullty. It is also hoped that with the new faallty the Football Club. will be able to have other teams, such as Youths, Over 35. Children and Ladies. teams Involved which allows the club to become a Community Club whlch In turn could open up other revenue schemes Ilke fvnding from the Scottish FA. The field has and wlll contlnue to be used for the Dundonald Highland Games. an annual event with whlch DCSRHA are delighted to have been Involved In over the last number of years. DCSRHA
