**What the charity does:** Raise awareness and support the charitable work of the Valemegna Eye Clinic in one of India's poorest areas

**Objectives:** a) To support the work of the VELEMEGNA Good NEWS Society of VELEMEGNA Society Hospital, Golekhana, Bidar, 585401 , Karnataka State, India ('the Society') in its work.  (b) To minister to the poor, marginalized and people with disabilities irrespective of caste, creed , gender or religion in Bidar district and anywhere in India.  (c) To provide holistic care for the physical. :-rental. social, economic and spiritual needs of individuals and community and for their development. To develop or promote public health in the community by establishing primary, secondary and tertiary level hospitals, clinics, health centres, educating the public and providing comprehensive health care, prevention, curative and paliative services.  (d) To undertake socio-economic, rehabilitation and sustainable development programmes to benefit the urban, rural tribal and underprivileged communities.  (e) To partner with other voluntary organizations whether in Scotland or elsewhere and with Government agencies to run projects and for raising resources and to deliver services to fulfil the objectives of the Society.
