Irwrporated Organisation (number SC048700), governed by tts constitution, dated 18th
September 2018.
Membershlp and management
The business of Chicken Unchained Rescue Sanctuary is directed by a board of trustees
between 3 and 10 members, appointed by the members at the Annual General Meeting to
serve for one year, all being eligible for re-election. The trustees meets not less than 4 times
a year. The manner of apwintment of trustees is detailed in our con$titution.
A chairperson. secretary and treaSu￿r are appointod by the Trustees. The Tw8tee may c
opt further members, where deem9d n•ces6ary, to serve until the following AGM.

Charitable purposes
The organisation's purposes are to relieve the suffering and distress, illness and discomfort
of Ghickens who have been abused, neglected Dr destined for slaughter by rehoming,
providing sanctuary and resources to aid their recDvery- to educate l infomi the publtc in all
matters pertaining to the care and protection of chickens., to womote Ihe prevention of
rLElty to chickens.

Activities and achievements
Continued providing for chickens in our care.
Ongoing santtization protocols as per post Covid -19 recommendations arKJ
prevention of avian flu cross contarnination.
Ongoing enrichment provided for mental stimulation and improved physical
activity.
Donations provKled of supply of food, straw, hay, sawdust.
Other activities on hold due to changes from outcome of Covld-19 pandemic.
Finance
The eslablishrnent of the charity has been delayed again due to muttiple things being on hold
as a result of changes due to the results of covid-19 parKlemic. Bank balance remains as
£&32.80. Fundraising activities have continued to be prev8nted since pandemic. There were
no cash donations in this period, all donations werè of physical items SUGh a$ bedding and
food for the hens. No income for the year and no expenditure.

Due to changes stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing changes to
regulations some planned actrvities including fundraising and have been postponed
or cancelled.
The members of the committee are required tc act in accordance with the terms of
the group's constitution. They are responsible for keeping proper accounting records
which disc5ose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the
group. They are responsible for safeguarding the ass@ts of the group and hence for
taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
I￿egularitIes.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30TH June 2024, whith are set out

The chartty's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland} Act 2005 and the Charities
Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2006. The charity trustees GonsKler that the audit
requiretllent of Regulation 10<1) (d) of the Chaiities Accounts (SGotland) Regulations 2006
does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as requlred under section 44(11
(c) of Ihe Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examIne￿9 statement
My exarnination is Garried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts
Iscotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a comparison of the account8 presented wth those records. It also indudes
Consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and the seeking of
explanations from you a$ trustees concerning any such matters. The prccedures undertaken
do not provide all the evidence that would bè required in an audit and, consequently, I do not
express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiners, staternent
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
1) which gives me reasonable cause lo believe that, in any material respect, the
requirements
to keep accounting records in accordance wrth Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005
Act and R&Julation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with
Regulation g of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
have not been met., or
2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understandin
