Chairpersons Report for year ending 31[st] October 2025

The constitution of Advie Hall and Children's Fund states that it will provide or assist in providing facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation, leisure time, physical wellbeing, and healthy living for the benefit of the citizens of Advie and surrounding villages.

The committee has worked very hard to ensure that this objective has been achieved over the past year. Three different events have been held, and several donations in varying forms given to local charities and citizens of Advie.

Several committee members have stepped down leaving the committee including Helen Barton, Jeanette, Mike and Sandra. However, we were delighted that several people joined the committee becoming trustee's including Amy-Leigh Watson, Kerry McConachie and Jessica became a co-opted member this year.

Due to the changes in committee members the hall reduced the number of events to settle into our new roles.

Refreshments were served at the hall after the Remembrance Service at the war memorial at which a representative of the community laid a wreath.

Unfortunately, Advie Hall was unable to have a community Christmas Party however vouchers were given to the children and older adults within the community. These vouchers differed for the age groups but included local vouchers for food, books and children's activities.

A coffee morning was organised where any individual was welcome, and donations were welcomed at the door. A huge thankyou to the local community and committee members who donated cakes and savoury items. All proceeds went towards the running costs of the hall.

The quiz night was very popular with a volunteer to conduct the quiz with proceeds going towards the upkeep of the hall.

The Bingo Tea was of great success whereby incredible prizes were donated to our raffle and bingo prizes. The profits from this event have gone towards the Advie hall Community Christmas Party and the presents for the local community's older adults and children.

Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain any grants this year to go towards our events however we are looking at this closely and plan to apply for these in the near future.

During the next year our objectives should be to continue to raise further funds for the running costs and maintenance of the hall, as well as continuing to work together to draw the community of Advie and surrounding villages together. We also aim to hold more events to draw the community in including a beetle drive and a Christmas Party.

To conclude my report, I would like to thank the dedication and hard work of the Advie Hall Committee and everyone within the community that has supported our events.
