The constitution of Advie Hall and Children's Fund states that it will provide or assist in
providing facilities in the interest of soci81 welfare for recreation, leisure time. physic8l
wellbeing and healthy living for the benefit of the citizens of Advie and surrounding
villages.
The committee has worked very hard to ensure that this objective has been achieved
over the past year. Seven different events have been held. and several donations in
varyingformsEiven to a local chartyand citizens ofAdvie.
The committee applied forand recerved a grant from Pauls Hillwind Farm to refurblsh
tsbles, chairs and kitchen portables. Afurther grantfrom the Community Councilwas
obtained to purchase Christmas Lights lor outside the hall. Some rnoney from the
coronatlon picnic held in 2023 was used to purchase a new sound system forthe hall.
The very popular Bingo Tea was held In November and was. as usual a great success.
Refreshments were served at the hail after the Remernbrance Service at the Wai
Memorial at which a representative of the community laid a wreath.
It wos decided not to hold 8 Christmas se￿iCe in the Chu￿tt, due to the poor
attendance ol last year, but the family Christmas Partywas held and donations of non-
perishable food itemswere gathered 8nd donated to the locallood hub. Gifts were
given to authe youngand elderly people within the community.
An extremely successful Burns Supperwas held, with wonderful speakers 8nd artists
and local food served. The hall looked lovely wlth the new tables. chairs, tablecloths
and crockery.
Film Forres sponsored a lilm night showing the latest Indiana Jones movie in the hall.
The lilm was amazing but Ihere we only 5 members of the community and some
committee in attendance.
The Beetle Drive Night was a similar story with only 4 people and some committee
members.
A Quiz Nlght however seemed to attract rnore people. but half the numbers attended as
compared to last year.
Tulchan Club Scotland kindly hosted at BBQ lor us and donated the proceeds to Advie
Hall. Everyone had a wondertul afternoon but again. the nurnbers were very poor.
Advie Hall was very lucky to be selected to providlng a stop over for the Long Distance
Walking Association on their 48 hour Speyside walk and we were able to showcase
Advie.

After eight years on the Comfflittee and in my role as Chairperson. l am resigning from
the committee and as 8 trustee. I will continueto supportAdvie Hall and to help out
while l am living here. I wish allthe bestto next years a committee and thankeveryone
on my committee and those people in the community that have supported our events.
