Selkirk Community Shed is a member of the Scottish Men's Shed Association and is set up to provide workshop, garden and social facilities for folk in TD7 (Selkirkshire) where they can enjoy each others company over a cuppa or while working on community and personal projects

Objectives: To provide recreational facilities and organise activities that will increase skills and improve well-being, quality of life and opportunities for people in Selkirk and surrounding areas. These activities will focus on inclusion, intergenerational work and improved self-esteem through shared interests and peer support. In furtherance of this The Community Shed will : 4.1 Develop a facility, namely the Community Shed that looks at ways of undertaking and creating opportunities in the Selkirk and surrounding areas and improving the health and wellbeing and skills of its community and members. 4.2 Develop and support activities to its members and the wider community, across a range of interests and hobbies and activities, working with the local community and community based services. 4.3 Develop the capacity of individuals to share their skills and knowledge in the community to benefit the community of Selkirk and surrounding areas.
