Highlights of the cal social ealendar include the Over4Os paty, dances, and children's activities throughout the summer sch￿1 holidays, as well as Santa's Breakfast nearer to Christrnas. The Herttage Room eontinues to add to the eolleeticffi of local memorabilia, including from the recendy closed Methodist Church, and the bcok swap has expanded. These facilities are available Wher￿Ver the Hall ￿ OFen. The fat￿1¢ of the building and surrounds induding the car park continue to be improved and maintained. Improvements include repairs to the roof to prevent leaks. re-plastering and repointing, replacement of smoke detectors. work carried (xrt on faS￿a boards, down pipes and guttering. A heat loss survey was Ca￿led ￿t. as a result of this a bid was put in for nding lo insulate the main Hall rwf. unfortunately that was not Su￿sS￿l but the Trustees will conts.nue to look at ways of achieving this. Tnjslees continue to Monit￿ health and safety, also energy use, and app￿ for grants to continue to improve and enhance facilities. The recenly installed solar phot￿Volta1cs are helping to reduce energy consum￿'0n. The generator and change-over switch have not been called upon so far but are regularfy tested so that the Hall would be able to function as a hub at times of emergency rf required. Trustees continue to k)ok for initiatives to involve more young people. Broadband is prowded at the Hall, the option of having Trustee board meetings via Zoom was discussed but was not practicable. The Hall website is being used to allow online booking and to provide information on the Hall.
