APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main a¢hlevements of the charity during tho flnanclal perlod The New BeekeeFers course was changed this year lo reduce partiupants to 20 in order lo provide a more indusive experienc£ in the theory lectures bul also in the hands on element where more time could be spent with each participant. This has proved lo be POFxJlar with both participants and the apiary team so this experiment will continue into 2026 before reviewing. The reduction in New Beekeeper participants has allowed the Apiary team to also offer sessions to members wrth limited experience lo gain edueatK)nal support and wKlance'over the hwe.. The Scx)ttish Beekeepers. AssLxiation (SBA) module study grc4Jp conknnues lo be pow12r with a full number of participants al both the spring and autumn lectures, with some part￿1Pants taking and passing the exams. This year we again thank the lecturers very much their dedication as the Association would not be able lo run such a successful new beekeeper's course or S8A module sbjdy Lyoup wilhoul their voluntary effcrfts. During this year a "Bee Health Group. Y￿S set up in ￿der to provide up lo date and best praclti information on bee health. They also organised a bee health day whe members from the Dunblane arKI Stirting Beekeepers, Assocotion (DSBA) a$ well as other asscciatsons could attend lo leam about bee health. The apiary was Up￿8(d during the year vthh an old hed98 whid) was in a poor state being replaced with a new mrKlem fence which was met with grattlude by the land0￿erS where ass()ciab"on awary is srted. The website continues to be popular with the featu￿ already on the site being supplemented by a regular"Bee Health. bulletin as well as a 'Swam Collection serV￿e. which provides a seThice to people in the Slidingshire area lo allow members of th8 lo repK)rt suspected swarms of bees which will then lead lo a beekeeper investigating and removing the bees rf necessary.
