Trad Music Trust encourages, supports, develops and promotes traditional music, dance and language learning, composition and performance in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. It achieves this by facilitating concerts, workshops, masterclasses, 1-to-1 tuition, competitions, participatory performance sessions with opportunities provided free of charge, or at a concessionary rate to anyone under the age of 25. The charity also manages and runs a live music venue, which acts as the income generator for the organisation.

Objectives: 4. The organisation's purposes are: 4.1. the advancement of education in traditional music, dance and language by encouraging, supporting, delivering, developing and promoting traditional music, dance and language learning and education through a range of workshops, talks, training days and other educational events and opportunities. 4.2. the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 4.3. the advancement of the arts, heritage and culture of Scotland and other Celtic nations
